Meet HBCU Grad Eric Jackson of Turner Sports and Bleacher Report

As we continue our celebration of Black History Month, we are featuring some of our Black colleagues each week. This week, we meet Eric Jackson from Atlanta with Turner Sports/Bleacher Report, who also attended a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), Tuskegee University.

WarnerMedia: What is your current role at WarnerMedia and what is your day-to-day like?

Eric Jackson: I am the Senior Vice President of NBA Digital Content Operations and Diversified Sports Content. My day-to-day activity consists of working with my NBA Digital and Bleacher Report teams and partners to strategically create and produce best-in-class content that represents Turner Sports and our league partners and creates value for our diverse audience. I also manage our operations team that works tirelessly behind the scenes to support our production efforts and budget.

WM: What are your schools’ colors and mascot?

EJ: Crimson and Old Gold - Golden Tigers

WM: Why did you choose to attend an HBCU?

EJ: Tuskegee’s rich history and legacy of producing best-in-class engineers. Also, I had an older brother there already so I joined him.

WM: What is your favorite HBCU memory?

EJ: The cultural experience of hanging out in the yard and sporting events, competing in intramural and pickup games, the battle of the bands, step shows, Homecoming, parties, road trips, etc. with friends and fellow students.

WM: What makes the HBCU experience so special?

EJ: You gain a quality education in academics, culture, and life while building lifelong friendships and relationships. You graduate with a sense of pride and accomplishment and feel equipped to conquer the world.
